Richard joined Bel Air Investment Advisors as an Investment Advisor in 2021. Prior to joining Bel Air, Richard spent more than two decades in the commercial real estate industry, most recently with CBRE as Senior Vice President in their West Los Angeles office.
Richard serves as one of Bel Air’s senior investment advisors working with individuals, families, and non-profit organizations to help achieve their investment goals, manage risk exposure, and create opportunities for cross-generation engagement and education as appropriate. Richard is supported by his partners, as well as a team of associates, analysts, portfolio managers, and research professionals to provide a breadth of resources for his clients across many disciplines.
Richard’s prior experience includes providing specialized advisory and corporate transactional and management services to clients on a local, regional, and national basis, including corporate facility transactions for three of the five FAANG companies totaling over $2.5 billion. Mr. Ratner also strategically advised a myriad of private and publicly traded clients, including national developers/landlords in transactions totaling $1.5 billion.
Richard is involved in various civic and charitable organizations. He currently sits on the Career Spring Advisory Board, which provides meaningful and high-quality employment for First Generation, Low Income (FHLI) students. He also serves on the board of directors of Beit T’Shuvah, an addiction treatment center and spiritual recovery community that offers individualized treatment programs to individuals from all religious backgrounds. Richard lives in Pacific Palisades with his wife and three children.
